I am a backyard landscape do it yourself hobbyist. As a matter of fact, one of the reasons that I basi purchased a house was because I wanted to be competent to play with backyard landscape design. I have had so galore backyard landscaping ideas since I was very small, but I have never gone on to do any of them. You see, when I was a kid I applied to love to imagine what my dream house would be like. Of course back then, my backyard landscape ideas were not that well developed. Basically, most of my backyard landscape designs were beauteous over the top. I wanted to have a giant backyard fountain that you could swim in, a backyard basketball court – you get the idea. When I was a kid, my backyard landscape design scheme centered around making the biggest, best playground that a child had ever had.
Since then, my backyard landscape designs have changed, but my passion for it has not. Nowadays, I am into backyard gardening above all. I love to read, to write, and to take pleasure in the outdoors. Backyard landscape design allows me to construct a space where I may do all three. I have downloaded a heap of backyard landscaping software that helps me to plan out the spacing of the respective elements of my backyard garden. Although I do not have very much space, if I use it cleverly it is sufficient to create assorted secluded spots to take delight in my books.
Although I have yet to build most of my backyard landscape design plans, I am starting to. I have already laid the flagstones for my garden path, and next week I will get started planting the plants. At one point, I considered hiring nursery contractors to a good deal of of the more difficult backyard landscape design work, but ultimately I thought better of it. Backyard landscape design is a hobby. Of course I could make it requiring little effort by getting pros to do the work, but that is scarcely the point. If I give in, I will never learn how to be a backyard landscaper.
If you have ever thought regarding getting into backyard landscape design, I give hope or courage to you to do it. Do not be put off by how difficult it is to build things when you have never had any experience. Once you get the hang of it, it may in truth be rather easy. You will have fun, get galore exercise, and have a gorgeous backyard as a reward for your efforts. What could be better than that?
From Children’s Software Revue® — “Subscribe Now!”Infogrames scores another huge one with this terrific, easy-to-play basketball simulation designed peculiarly for kids. As in more sophisticated sims, players pick teams and game options, only in this case, players choose kid characters to fill out the roster. Each kid has a distinguishable personality and set of skills. “Pint-sized” versions of a few pro players like Lisa Leslie and Kevin Garnett are thrown into the mix, adding an element of humor to the game, as kids meet and play with these little future superstars. What we like most when it comes to the program are it is a good deal of choices that give children control over the experience. Players may design team uniforms, fabricate habit teams and may determine who to play against. They select each character’s position as well as when and where to bounce the ball. Just like the real thing, the game takes practice, but it’s exhaustively engaging and downright addictive. Flaws are few. The save features are limited, permitting only season games to be saved, but the other features are plentiful permitting children to control background sounds and play-by-plays. Also, the program requires some reading at first, until players have the navigation scheme memorized. All in all, though, this is a great program for a good deal of reasons. The software is one of the few that breaks stereotypes by putting boys and girls from all ethnic groups on the roster, numerous of whom are physically challenged. It gives kids strange control over the action and is exceptionally easy to figure out.
Shoot hoops with junior versions of famous NBA and WNBA stars. Action-packed gameplay brings backyard contest to life with 3-D-rendered graphics, high-resolution sound effects, and easy-to-learn controls. Full-court action and multiplayer mode means kids may play for hours with their bestloved hoopsters and friends. The game features full-court play, finish with free throws, dunks, and power-ups for wacky plays. Choose a name, face, and skill level with the Create-A-Player function. Point-and-click controls and exercise mode make the game easy to learn.

way too easy. By L. Powles Don’t get me wrong though, I like this game. But even the hard level is child’s play. However, this game is designed for kids 5-10. I like it, but it is too easy. My best game so far was 132-12. I think that even a 5 year old wouldn’t have a problem kicking everyone’s butt in this game. Its fun, and anybody who likes the other Backyard games (hockey, soccer, football, baseball) will like this one.
Pros: - Very simple controls - Not hard for little kids - No offensive content (it is, however, aimed to younger persons)
Cons: - Way too easy for older gamers (e.g. 9-12) - Gets stale and repetative after awhile
Altogether this is a good game, but if you are over age 9, this one will be way too easy and you shouldn’t get it. Otherwise, you will like this one. It’s fun, just too easy, which is why the younger audience will like it.

Flawed But Excellent By M. Allen Greenbaum Like galore games in the “Backyard” series this is very pleasurable but flawed. The main problem is the stats. The list of top ten players doesn’t track blocks. Rebounding is so difficult that your team and players will never appear in the top ten. The end-of-season awards for top player on team and in the league don’t work at all. And please see the reviewer below, of all the Backyard games, this appears to require the most computer power. If your computer is not very powerful, the game will play in slow motion–very frustrating. Finally, there are only two pro players; hopefully, future versions will include more.
There are a great deal of positive points that we’ve come to suppose from manufacturer “Humongous Entertainment,” including trick plays, offensive and defensive systems (Offense: Crash, Normal, or Fastbreak; Defense: Tight, Normal, or Loose), conclusions regarding which players to pick and at what positions, when to sub, etc. Except for the lack of rebounding and outside shooting (especially in the most difficult level), game play is reasonably realistic.
My player recommendations include the always-speedy Pete Wheeler, defensive specialist and inside shooter Keisha Phillips, all-around threat Lisa Leslie, Reese Worthington (great ball-handling and speed)and outside shooters Kenny Kawaguchi and Pablo Sanchez. Our current team features Pete, Lisa, Reese, and two players whose skill distribution and build are determined by the player. The skill points of these latter players increase after one season; they become amid your very best players. The game requires quick responses; I commend it for older grade school kids (maybe around 3rd through sixth grades) and adults who take delight in this series of sports games. Others may get enjoyment from the more or less easier-to-play Backyard Baseball or Football.
